That\u2019s why this December, Vionic Supports has chosen to give back to two Bay Area organizations that aim to help victims of domestic violence by providing healthy, secure environments in which to heal and receive support. \u201cIt feels good to help someone who has found a place that\u2019s safe, where they feel secure. We tried to make things a little better for them over the holidays,\u201d says Gurpreet Kalra, Vionic\u2019s web developer. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lacasa.org\/\">La Casa de Las Madres<\/a> in San Francisco and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.centerfordomesticpeace.org\/\">The Center for Domestic Peace<\/a> in San Rafael received 180 gift boxes for women in their permanent residence facilities. Vionic employees packed and transported the boxes to the centers, each filled with Vionic slippers as well as gifts from partner retailers <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eoproducts.com\/\">EO products<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/callinastyle.com\/\">Callina apparel<\/a> and Burt\u2019s Bees. Employees also came together to donate toys, clothing, bedding, toiletries and more for the families. \u201cI hope that our donation helps in some small way in supporting the women during a very traumatic time in their lives,\u201d says Vionic\u2019s CEO and President, Chris Gallagher. \u201cWhile our gift to them is simple, it proves to be meaningful as well. We don\u2019t ask for recognition; the fact that we\u2019re able to help keeps the whole Vionic team happy and drives us to keep creating life-changing footwear.\u201d <a
