Held at Santa Monica State Beach in southern California, a beautiful day was had by attendees who showed up to collect garbage from the beach and give back to the Earth in an impactful, action-oriented way. Proteus founder Fabien Cousteau (Aquanaut, Ocean Explorer, and Environment Advocate) was also on hand, meeting with attendees and putting on a great program that explained the work Proteus does to advocate on behalf of the world\u2019s oceans.&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vionic x Proteus is the first shoe collaboration that Proteus has become involved with\u2014a logical fit given that the fabric on these shoes is a 100% post\u2011consumer recycled material created from ocean\u2011bound plastic bottles. The collection currently consists of three casual slip-on styles that feature colorful, hand-drawn ocean corals by the Vionic design team.
