Amy Nordstrom\u2019s work is inspired by the natural beauty surrounding her. Growing up in Boulder, Colorado, Amy was captivated by art and nature from a young age, and later inspired to study sculpture and metalsmithing at University. In 2004, Amy founded Amy Nordstr\u00f6m Jewelry<\/a>, and opened her studio in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area, in Sausalito.<\/em><\/p>\n

Minimalist and forged by hand, each piece of Amy\u2019s work is truly unique. In a fast-paced world of mass production, Amy\u2019s distinct work stands apart in its true essence of artwork –\u00a0 each piece is bent, cut and hammered into a vision that literally takes shape in Amy\u2019s hands. Materials are carefully selected and consciously sourced, to ensure the integrity of each piece.<\/em><\/p>\n

Describe your company\/product in a few words. \u00a0What style need does it fill?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

My work is inspired by nature and forged by hand. A lot of the women that have been wearing my jewelry over the past fifteen years are designers and artists themselves \u2013 women that work with their hands. My line has never been trend driven \u2013 it\u2019s driven by my clients\u2019 desire to have pieces that they can\u00a0wear everyday. \u00a0My collections are effortlessly chic and still timeless.<\/em><\/p>\n

Describe your personal ‘go to’ style. \u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Since I live in Sausalito where it\u2019s usually cold and a little foggy, I live in a cashmere sweater all year long. I love high-waist skinny jeans and ankle booties.<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n

As a female\u00a0founded business, how do you interpret the Vionic Secret: \u2018Style. It doesn\u2019t have to hurt\u2019<\/em>?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

After being in the jewelry industry for 15 years, the Vionic Secret\u00a0is what I try to emulate with my own designs everyday, which is \u201ceffortless chic.\u201d You\u00a0always feels good because what you\u2019re wearing is never contrived<\/em>\u00a0or forced. You look good because you feel good.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

What\u2019s empowering about a confident woman?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

I think when a woman is comfortable in her own skin, it\u2019s a super powerful quality. Because I think in turn, those around her feel more at ease.<\/em><\/p>\n

What\u2019s your secret to feeling your best?<\/strong><\/h4>\n
