All About White Sneakers

What does summer mean to you? Is it that time of year that you are able to spend some more time with the kids? Maybe just get outside and feel the warmth of the sun? This time of year means something different for everyone, but we can all agree that we want to feel and look our best. We at Vionic believe this starts from the ground, by bringing balance to the whole you. With that said, there is a tendency to automatically think sandals are the shoes of choice for summer, but there are so many more options: flats, heels, wedges, and sneakers. But right now is really the time to break out the white sneakers that have been collecting dust for the last nine months. Here are some of our favorite white sneakers, all with the Vionic technology that you love.

Galia

Galia is a lace-up, soft knit sneaker that gives you much needed breathability during this time of year. It also has a durable rubber outsole allowing you to wear it across the season throughout the day. It is available in medium width sizes 5, 6-10, 11, 12, 13 and wide width sizes 5, 6-10, 11, 12.

Karmelle

This shoe is inspired by lace up court sneakers, combining the different materials of leather, mesh, and suede. Karmelle sits on more of a platform than Galia, Winny, and Zinah, giving you just a bit of extra height. Our Vio Motion technology can be immediately experienced, giving you the stability, cushioning, arch support, and flexibility that you come to expect from Vionic. We are proud to offer this sneaker in medium width 5, 6-10, 11, 12, 13 and wide width 5, 6-10, 11, 12.

Winny

While Galia has a soft knit materialization, Winny has a more classic look. It is made with the same durable rubber outsole, but with a leather upper and clean, simple detailing. Similar to Galia, it is available in medium width, sizes 5, 6-10, and 11.

Zinah

Unlike the other three sneakers described above, Zinah gives ease of use as it is a slip on. The elastic gore panels make them easy to put on and help to keep your feet secure. The upper is made from a combination of leather and nubuck, with a unique trim piece right about the outsole. Available in medium width, sizes 5, 6-10, 11.

How Can I Wear White Sneakers?

The short answer is that they can be worn for many occasions and can be paired with a variety of outfits. With that said, there are certainly times where they might be more appropriate. Common pairings include jeans, leggings, athleisure pants, and sun dresses. A key difference of white sneakers is that they can go with a variety of colors as they don’t clash with any particular color. They can pair nicely as a contrasting piece while bringing a casual feel to any outfit. Additionally, white sneakers can be a perfect substitute for situations where you might be on your feet for a while or where a closed toe could be preferable.

How Should I Care For Them?

Unfortunately, white sneakers do present some inconveniences when it comes to care and maintaining the color. But if you are diligent in protecting your footwear, then there is a good chance that they will bring the same pop to your closet as when they were new. We recommend using a dry, cotton cloth to wipe away dirt or dust as needed. Consider cleaning after a few uses to prevent the shoes from permanently losing their color.

This is the summer of white sneakers! As you can see, we at Vionic have many options for you to choose from: from the classic leather lace-up to the simple slip-on. They are extremely versatile as they pair nicely with a variety of outfits and are not occasion specific. As you come to expect with Vionic, our white sneakers have our technology built in, giving you stability, cushioning, arch support, and flexibility. We hope that you experience the science that sets you in motion and helps you feel your best. Happy summer!
