Our newest Venture.

Time for a bit of trivia: What do you get when you mix comfort, functionality and style in a colorful, lightweight sneaker?

Answer: Our best active shoe yet.

The Venture walking sneaker by Vionic Shoes is the perfect tool to keep you moving

Chances are you’ve started thinking about the upcoming holidays and ways to maintain (at least a few) healthy habits while enjoying all the food, friends and fun. Luckily, the Venture sneaker debuted this month, and it’s the perfect tool to keep you moving throughout the holiday season. We spoke to two of the product development specialists responsible for this sleek new design.

“The Venture is the lightest, most breathable athletic shoe we’ve made so far,” says Tony, our Technical Designer. “It’s lightweight, but it has the same tried and tested Orthaheel technology as all of our other shoes.”

What sets the Venture apart?

“We’ve added an EVA board in the base of the shoe that’s padded and perforated for extra cushioning, as well as arch reinforcement. Even though it’s a flexible shoe, it’s still very supportive.”

“There’s a lot of breathability in the Venture because of the double-mesh upper,” adds Emily, one of our footwear designers. “We’ve really paid attention to the seam placement in the upper so that movement is unrestricted. It won’t rub against the more sensitive areas of your foot.”

And the best part? “It matches all your favorite colors in your wardrobe,” says Emily. “My favorite color way is the silver chartreuse!”

So this Thanksgiving holiday, instead of vegging out on the couch, Venture out and keep those feet moving in style!

  1. I really like these shoes, I have had them for about 10 days. The only thing is I should have got the b width. I got the wide width and I have to wear heavy sock, and sometimes that make them to warm.. They are light weight and are wonderful on my knee replacement!!!

  2. What about the fit? I’m a 9 and 1/2. True to size or up or down?

  3. My main exercise is Jazzercise wich is a combination of aerobics and strength training. Would these shoes be good for that?

  4. are there any shoes available in a 6 Narrow

  5. I ordered a pair of “molly” sandals in a size 6–had to return for a size 5–which fit me perfectly–if I wanted to order the lightweight venture sneaker–would you suggest ordering a size 5 also or a size 6-Thanks, Donna Roy

  6. Why isn’t the “Venture” style available anymore? Which shoe is equivalent to the Venture walking shoe? I’m on my third pair and want to order another. Please help.
