Cheering on Sarah Bowen Shea in the 2012 Boston Marathon!

Who is this Sarah we speak of?

For starters, Sarah Bowen Shea is a mother, a runner and a long-time colleague of our Director of Marketing, Lisa. After being crippled with plantar fasciitis last summer, Sarah contacted Lisa who referred her to a pair of our Orthaheel slippers. She wore them religiously through her recovery and is now on her way to run the Boston Marathon on Monday! We know the road to recovery was long and painful, but we’re happy to see her back up and running again.

She has just written a new book with her friend, fellow runner and blogger, Dimity McDowell. Train Like a Mother: How to Get Across Any Finish Line – and Not Lose Your Family, Job, or Sanity. You can get your own copy at Indie Bound, Barnes & Noble, Amazon and your local bookseller.

You can also read SBS’s blog, HERE.

And, you can follow her time splits while she runs 26.2 miles through Boston! You’ll need her bib number, which is 20710. Go to the AT&T Athlete Alert and follow the directions. It’s easy – we’ve tried it!

RUN, SARAH, RUN!
