Life, Exercise & Balancing It All with Ciara Lucas



Hi there! I’m Ciara Lucas, television journalist and fitness instructor. My passion for fitness and wellness propelled me into a career that allowed me to follow my dreams. As a local news reporter, I’m up before the sun reporting daily headlines. But my passion and purpose beyond broadcast news is health/wellness. Fit For A Queen is my platform that I use to share with the world, to fulfill my desire to help and inspire others to make healthier choices, and live their best lives by treating their bodies the best way possible.


How would you describe your day-to-day life as a fitness enthusiast and TV journalist?

Juggling my career in broadcasting and being a fitness professional is definitely around-the-clock busyness. But that’s where prioritization and scheduling comes into play to make sure that all of my responsibilities and passions are being fulfilled. What I love about news is the constant flow of information and my role to sift through facts, then communicate them to viewers. Fitness is my outlet to treat my body with care and respect through movement, and encouraging others to do the same.



What is your favorite Vionic shoe style?

My favorite Vionic shoe is hands down the Sami Heeled Sandal! I want them in every color. This shoe is SO comfortable, especially for a high heel—and yet, it’s super stylish at the same time. Every day I put them on I feel like I could wear them forever. My feet love them!


Why is it important to you to find balance and make time for fitness in your routine?

Movement is a form of medicine for me. That’s why I find it so important to find balance and make time for fitness in my routine. Daily intentional physical activity has been scientifically proven to improve mood, energy, and maintain a strong immune system—among many other health benefits! But the key to a successful fitness routine is consistency, which requires finding an activity you genuinely enjoy. Every activity I incorporate in my daily fitness routine is something I am happy to do, so it never feels like a chore.


What is the Spark360 program & why people should join?

The Spark 360 Fit City Challenge is a 6-week challenge in multiple cities to encourage more active and healthier lifestyles. It is a free, friendly competition. Participants will register as a team or individually and log their fitness minutes for six weeks. Any kind of activity can count—even mowing your lawn or walking the dog! At the end of the challenge, the winning teams and individuals will be awarded with prizes, including Vionic shoes!
